The terms of using PlotGround.

You may use PlotGround if you can form a binding agreement with us and are not barred from doing so under applicable law. If you're under 18, you may only use PlotGround with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

By creating an account or publishing a story, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You can create a free account with your email or a Google sign-in. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. Use accurate information, don't impersonate anyone, and don't share your account with others.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. When you do, you'll be asked whether to remove your stories or keep them published anonymously; either way, your profile, comments, reactions, follows, and private messages are removed.

You keep ownership of the stories, comments, and other content you create on PlotGround. By posting, you grant PlotGround a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, lightly edit for clarity, and distribute that content as part of running and promoting the archive. This license ends when you delete the content, except for reasonable backup copies and anything others have already shared.

You confirm that the content is yours to share and that publishing it doesn't violate anyone's rights or any law.

PlotGround works because people share honestly and safely. When you post, you agree not to:

• Name specific companies, employers, managers, or coworkers, or include confidential or proprietary information
• Post anything false, misleading, or that isn't your own genuine experience
• Harass, threaten, defame, or target anyone, or post hateful content
• Share someone else's private or identifying information
• Post spam, advertising, malware, or content that infringes others' intellectual property
• Break any law, or use the site to do so

Stories publish immediately, without prior review. That trust depends on you following these rules.

Because publishing is instant, our moderation happens after the fact. We may edit, hide, or permanently remove any content, and suspend or remove any account, that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful — with or without notice. We may also remove content in response to valid legal requests or credible reports.

We aren't obligated to monitor content, and we aren't responsible for content posted by users. Opinions in stories belong to their authors, not to PlotGround.

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. Please read it.

PlotGround is offered as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content is accurate or complete.

Stories on PlotGround are personal accounts, not professional, legal, financial, or career advice. Rely on them at your own discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlotGround and anyone involved in operating it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the site or from content posted on it. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll post a note on the site. Continuing to use PlotGround after a change means you accept the updated terms.
